Story Of The Cane / 2017-2018

Seeing the growth of bamboo was one of the reasons of my journey when you plant it's seeds and water it, it takes 5-years to sprout .During these years it runs its roots through the soil, ‏ but when is finally come out of the ground and it grows in an amazing pace.

Certain species of bamboo can grow 91 cm within a 24-hours period,at a rate of almost 4 cm an hour (a growth around 1 mm every 90 seconds). Bamboos can resist earthquakes up to magnitude of 9. Here in china,where bamboo grow everywhere from temples to jungles, I had time for self-reflection.Throughout my journey this plant was my companion and I leafed through the pages of my memories. The result was scraps of bamboo that reflect a great many narratives,among which I have chosen to exhibit but a few .
