2025 | Transformation
A key aspect of René Saheb’s practice is the reformation and transformation of traditional motifs. Through her work, she reshapes cultural symbols to mirror a generation that no longer follows inherited rules but instead charts its own path through a rising collective consciousness. By deconstructing and reimagining these forms, Saheb offers a visual language for a world in transition—one where identities, traditions, and social structures are constantly evolving in response to the complexities of the present.
2022- Ongoing | URN
URN is not only a vessel but a metaphor for the body as container — of stories, memories, wisdom, and silence. Just as an urn holds water, ashes, or offerings, my work considers the vessel as a human form, holding the collective experiences of migration, transformation, and resilience.
2022-2025 | Valley of Detachment
Saheb’s project, Unity in Diversity, explores the interconnectedness of humanity through shared stories and imagery from diverse societies. This project examines universal struggles that transcend borders, including global diseases, wars, migration, societal discontent, resistance against oppression, racial discrimination, and the pressures of power.
